The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) seeks to promote trade and investment ties, cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the United States of America and the Republic of Uzbekistan. In performing these functions, the AUCC places primary emphasis on serving the needs and interests of its members.

EU Special Representative to visit Uzbekistan

EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Patricia Flor will pay her next visit to Uzbekistan on Jan.21-23, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on Jan.20.

The visit's schedule envisages meetings and negotiations in the Senate Oliy Majilis (upper house of the parliament), in the government and the ministries of foreign affairs, economy, agriculture and water industry for discussion on practical issues of development and multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the EU, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Patricia Flor was appointed EU Special Representative for Central Asia in July 2012. The current visit to Uzbekistan is the fourth since her appointment.

As was reported, Uzbekistan's relations with European countries are developing both at a bilateral level and within the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the republic and the European community and member states that came into force on July 1. 1999.

Uzbekistan's dialogue with the EU is carried out between five joint bodies: the Cooperation Council, Cooperation Committee, Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, Subcommittee on Trade and Investment, Subcommittee on Justice, Home Affairs and other related areas.
