The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) seeks to promote trade and investment ties, cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the United States of America and the Republic of Uzbekistan. New pharmaceutical plant in Angren SIZ

In Angren special industrial zone (SIZ) it is planned to launch the manufacture of drugs for treatment of respiratory diseases.

According to Jahon news agency, the new venture will be built as part of a joint project with Chinese Kunmin Pharmaceutical. The agreement was signed on February 2013.

The total project cost is million, of which 50% are foreign investments.

The full capacity of the plant is 2 million doses of drugs per year.

The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On creation of Angren special industrial zone dated April 13, 2012 gave a powerful impetus to the development of the territory. Implementation of important tasks contributed to creating of favorable conditions to attract foreign capital, creation of new facilities for manufacture of products with high added value and to raise competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, efficient use of production and resource potential of Tashkent region.
