The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) seeks to promote trade and investment ties, cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the United States of America and the Republic of Uzbekistan. In performing these functions, the AUCC places primary emphasis on serving the needs and interests of its members.

Uzbek president to discuss regional and international issues in Russia

Uzbek President Islam Karimov will pay an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on April 14-15, the Uzbek president's press service said on Friday.
During the visit, the presidents will discuss further development of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on important regional and international issues.
Following the visit, it is planned to sign an economic cooperation programme for 2013-2017.
Also on the table will be an agreement on encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments and other documents aimed at implementing the provisions of the declaration on intensifying the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. These were signed by the presidents of the two countries in Tashkent on June 4, 2012, the president's press service said.
