The American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) seeks to promote trade and investment ties, cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the United States of America and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Elyor Ganiev, Hillary Clinton discuss bilateral relations

www.uzdaily.com of 9/30/2011 - Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev held negotiations with the US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in Washington on 29 September 2011.

During the talks, the sides considered issues of developing bilateral relations, as well as actual problems of regional and international character of mutual interest.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the United States grew from US$100.3 million in January-June 2010 to US$131.5 million in the same period of 2011.

At the same time, exports of Uzbekistan to the US increased from US$38.3 million in the first half of 2010 to US$56.4 million and imports from US$62 million to US$75.1 million.
