Republican Council for Work with International Ratings and Indices holds meeting
On 13 July, a meeting of the Republican Council for work with international ratings and indices was held in the form of video conference.
During the meeting, the work carried out by the Council, issues of approving action plans to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in priority international ratings and indices in the socio-economic and political-legal spheres, conducting trainings for ministries and departments, local government bodies responsible for working with social issues were discussed -economic, political and legal ratings and indices.
It was noted that on 3 July 2020, our country was included in the report of the Industry Competitiveness Index 2020 for the first time, published by the Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and took 92th place among 152 countries, 5th place among the republics of the CIS, 2nd place among Central Asian countries.
The Chairperson of the Senate, the Chairperson of the Council T.Narbaeva in her speech noted that improving the position of our country in international ratings and indices is largely related to the implementation of laws adopted locally. In addition, she called on representatives of the media, journalists and bloggers to work together and collaborate in this process.
At the same time, attention was focused on the adoption of laws that did not serve the interests of a narrow circle of people.
The members of the Council discussed and approved draft action plans to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in priority international ratings and indices in the socio-economic and political-legal spheres.
At the same time, training programs developed for ministries and departments, local government bodies responsible for working with international ratings and indices in the socio-economic and political-legal spheres were discussed.
It was noted that the working bodies of the Council are personally responsible for the presentations and handouts to be complete and interesting, and the qualifications of trainers and trainings to be of high quality.
At the end of the meeting, the proposals of the governor of Navoi region on improving the position of our country in international ratings and indices, increasing its investment attractiveness, simplifying the processes of voluntary termination of activities of business entities whose activities were suspended, were also considered.
Taking into account the views and suggestions expressed by members of the Council, an appropriate decision of the Council was adopted.
