WB predicts Uzbekistan highest GDP growth in Central Asia
World Bank (WB) predicted Uzbekistan's GDP growth of 5.7 percent for 2020 and 6 percent for 2021-2022, which is the highest indicator for Central Asian region, Trend reports citing the WB Global Economic Prospects report.
Turkmenistan goes next with 2020 GDP growth projected at 5.2 percent and 5.5 percent in 2021-2022.
As for Tajikistan's GDP growth forecast, WB predicted Tajikistan's GDP growth at 5.5 percent in 2020, while it will decrease to 5 percent in both 2021 and 2022.
With regard to Kyrgyzstan, it will demonstrate 4 percent growth in 2020 and 2021 and an increase of 4.2 percent in 2022, the World Bank's report said.
The lowest place belongs to Kazakhstan. It's 2020 GDP growth is predicted at 3.7 percent, 3.9 percent in 2021 and 3.7 percent in 2022.
