Pharmaceuticals of Uzbekistan are planning innovative developments

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Innovative developments in the field of domestic pharmaceuticals will be the result of the upcoming partnership of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Mathematics named after Romanovsky of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties confirmed this intention with the conclusion of the Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed on 27 May 2019 by the Chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rovshan Izamov and the Director of the Institute of Mathematics named after Romanovsky Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician Shavkat Ayupov.

 

The cooperation plans include projects for the development of innovative pharmaceuticals in Uzbekistan. As the first stage, its digitalization is provided in the form of the implementation of computer-aided artificial intelligence applications in drug development.

The parties plan the phased implementation of the scientific results of the computer drug development project and their subsequent commercialization. It was noted that participants will contribute to the development of joint initiatives to support partnership projects in the field of pharmaceutical research.

With the further development of cooperation, the involvement of other state and non-state structures and private sector organizations is envisaged.

The memorandum for the first time demonstrates the combined efforts of specialists in the field of mathematics, computer science, medicine, pharmacology, aimed at the development of domestic pharmaceuticals.

This actual step shows the compliance of Uzbekistan with the world trend to create new, more effective and safer drugs. All over the world today, a new field is being developed - innovative pharmaceuticals based on the intersection of traditional pharmacy and innovative methods of artificial intelligence. Its goal is to create personalized drugs that act at the genomic, genetic, molecular level and appear to be most effective for a particular patient at a particular time.
